12 Towers Ocean Paddle Race 2020
Set for the first weekend in March, 12 Towers Ocean Paddle Festival 2020 will kick off autumn on the Gold Coast with a bang, inviting passionate stand-up paddleboarders to take part in a thrilling ocean paddle race from Snapper Rocks to Burleigh Beach.
Participants will pass 12 lifeguard towers across a 15-kilometre distance with an additional 6-kilometre course to take place from Currumbin Alley to Burleigh. Non-paddlers are welcome to soak up the event atmosphere and spectate from the beach, which will be held over a thrilling three-day weekend from Friday, March 6 to Sunday, March 8.
The Mantra Room Golden Moon Festival
Organised by The Mantra Room Burleigh Heads, Golden Moon Festival is a relaxing evening of live kirtans and sacred chants in Justins Park, adjacent to Burleigh Beach, to celebrate Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - the father of the kirtan movement.
Free to attend for all ages, Golden Moon Festival will offer the chance to meditate, sing and dance with a line-up of local artists and bands performing positive mantra sounds under the light of the moon. For ambient music lovers and the spiritually minded, Golden Moon Festival isn’t to be missed in Justins Park Burleigh on Tuesday, March 10.
Back for 2020, Bowlzilla Gold Coast at Elanora Skatepark is a festival and competition in one, offering local and regional skateboarders the opportunity to showcase their skills with skating fans of all ages invited to watch on. With free entry for all, Bowlzilla 2020 will feature a program of competitive and open events in addition to music, live art and a high-energy atmosphere.
